Media Ethics/Media Law

BitTorrent is an accelerated peer-to-peer file sharing program. Specifically, I use BitTorrents for downloading movies or large volumes of music such as discographies.

In October 2009, the FCC cited Comcast for interference with BitTorrent.

"For covertly interfering with BitTorrent peer-to-peer traffic," Comcast was in violation of the principles of which the FCC regulate, that of accessibility and openness.
